The CAPPD held its annual general meeting on Tuesday, May 30. The meeting served as an opportunity for all membership to come together and share reflections on the successes of the previous year and share opportunities to further advance sexual and reproductive health and rights in the year ahead. Members also heard from Cecilia Espinoza, policy and advocacy lead at IPAS. Cecilia spoke to the opportunity to recognize the achievements and address the persisting challenges that hinder the full realization of sexual and reproductive health and rights and how parliamentarians can continue to champion these issues ahead of the 30th anniversary of the ICPD. The AGM also served as a space to hear from the co-chairs about the annual report and to elect the CAPPD executive committee for the coming year. Both the annual report and the list of current executive committee members can be found on the CAPPD website.
