2014 Launch of UNFPA State of World Population Report

A new report by UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, shows how young people are key to economic and social progress in developing countries and describes what must be done to realize their full potential.

The State of World Population 2014, The Power of 1.8 Billion: Adolescents, Youth and the Transformation of the Future provides the latest trends and statistics on adolescent and youth populations worldwide.

In Canada, UNFPA’s flagship publication was released on Parliament Hill in partnership with CAPPD on 18 November at 6 pm. Representing UNFPA was Dianne Stewart, Director of the Information and External Relations Division.
