UPDATE: Family planning must be at heart of post-2015 development agenda

Parliamentarians demand that G8/G20 leaders place family planning in the context of sexual and reproductive health and rights at the core of the post-2015 development agenda. A global Parliamentarians conference ahead of 2013 G8/G20 was held in London, England from May 9-10. Under the theme, “What Place for Family Planning in the Future of Development?” saw the participation of over 50 parliamentarians from around the world. Dr. Hedy Fry, vice-chair of CAPPD represented Canada which concluded with a strong parliamentary appeal which will be sent to G8/G20 leaders ahead of the summit in June.
